ARGUMENTATION PATTERNS OF TOULMIN STUDENTS DURING ONLINE LECTURES IN THE PANDEMIC

Student argumentation skills are considered weak during online lectures. The Toulmin Argumentation Model is an excellent model in analyzing discourse the Science Classroom. This study aims to describe Toulmin's patterns lectures Covid-19 Pandemic. research method used a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques form of open questionnaire. Respondents this were 50 samples. results showed that pattern was divided into 2 categories namely, (1) Category Four Elements and (2) Five Elements. category patterns, namely C-G-W-B Pattern G-C-M-W Pattern. In CGWB Pattern, elements claim (position statement), ground (data or facts), warrant (guarantee), backing (support), while GCMW Capital Qualifier, warrant. forms G-C-W-B-Pc grounds claims statements), (s), possible rebuttal (exceptions). case five-element category, does not use qualifier
